Job Description
ABOUT FILICS
Filics’ mission is to reinvent intralogistics by creating autonomous mobile robots that fundamentally change how material moves. Our double-runner system makes Filics the first and only AMR able to drive through load carriers such as Euro pallets, breaking forklift logic and setting a new standard for efficiency. We are a small, focused team committed to solving hard problems with engineering excellence. All team members are expected to be hands-on and to contribute directly to the company’s mission. Leadership is given to those who show initiative and consistently deliver excellence. Work ethic and strong prioritization skills are important. All team members are expected to have strong communication skills. They should be able to concisely and accurately share knowledge with their teammates.
OUR CHALLENGE
Our robots are built from hundreds of components, and they are only as reliable as the supply chain behind them. Many of these components are single-sourced, most are not yet under contract, and as we scale from prototypes to serial production, a single missing or unreliable part can bring the entire line to a stop. The challenge is to build a supply chain that can carry that scale: one that knows exactly what we depend on, secures it before it becomes a risk, and holds up as volumes grow, all while production is already running.
YOUR ROLE
Your mission is to build a robust supply chain from scratch, so that we can reliably build our robots as we scale. You take full ownership of how we source, secure, and manage the components our robots are built from. You identify what we critically depend on, secure availability through supplier contracts, and qualify alternatives so that no single source can stop us.
But your impact goes beyond placing orders. You build the foundation that lets us scale: you set up the ERP and the systems our supply chain runs on, establish supplier quality tracking, and define clear quality criteria together with engineering.
You work closely with engineering, who own the technical specifications and the qualification of suppliers and alternative components; with the assembly team, who depend on reliable supply and forward visibility to plan their builds; and with leadership, who set the volume commitments your analysis informs.
Once supply is robust, you turn to cost, driving component prices down toward a leaner bill of materials. Through your work, Filics can build reliably today and scale confidently tomorrow, never held back by a part that isn't there.
