A well-established Heavy Civil Construction Contractor is seeking an experienced

Project Superintendent

to oversee roadway, highway, utility, and infrastructure projects. This position will be responsible for managing field operations, coordinating crews and subcontractors, ensuring project schedules are maintained, and delivering projects safely, on time, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily construction operations and ensure work is completed according to plans and specifications.
• Lead field personnel, subcontractors, and vendors to maintain production goals and project schedules.
• Review project drawings, specifications, and contract requirements to ensure compliance.
• Coordinate manpower, equipment, materials, and subcontractor activities across multiple phases of construction.
• Monitor project quantities, material usage, and resource allocation.
• Prepare and manage schedules, reports, invoices, change orders, and project documentation.
• Track project costs and analyze budget performance against actual field production.
• Verify subcontractor progress and approve payment requests as appropriate.
• Maintain strong communication with project stakeholders, including owners, engineers, and inspectors.
• Ensure all work is performed safely and in accordance with company and regulatory requirements.
• Support project closeout activities and perform additional duties as needed.

Qualifications

• 5\+ years of supervisory experience within Heavy Civil, Highway, Roadway, Utility, or Infrastructure Construction.
• Proven ability to manage field crews, subcontractors, equipment, and project schedules.
• Strong understanding of construction plans, specifications, and project documentation.
• Experience with asphalt paving, roadway construction, grading, drainage, utilities, or related heavy civil work preferred.
• Traffic Control Supervisor (TCS) certification is a plus.
• High School Diploma or GED required; additional construction management education is beneficial.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends when project demands require.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
• Ability to pass pre-employment background screening and drug testing.
