Job Description

As a Research Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the research activities of an investment team. You will be responsible for data extraction and analysis, information management, and coordination of research-related activities. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to the investment industry while leveraging your scientific and technical skills to contribute meaningfully to investment decisions.

Key Responsibilities

Research \& Data Management

  • Utilize proprietary databases, third-party subscription services, and public databases to extract, compile, and analyze key data supporting investment research
  • Monitor and synthesize complex scientific and clinical information from conferences, abstracts, and presentations, organizing research documentation in accessible formats

Conference \& Information Coordination

  • Maintain a comprehensive master file of medical and scientific conferences, tracking key dates and relevant sessions, and coordinate registration and logistics for the research team
  • Capture and organize conference materials, creating summaries of key findings and data points, and identify critical abstract releases and presentations to communicate to the research team

Operational Support

  • Schedule and coordinate conference planning sessions and send earnings call invites with relevant links and background information
  • Attend team meetings and research discussions, taking detailed notes
  • Prepare materials to support investment decision-making and internal reporting

Qualifications

Education

  • BA/BS required in biological sciences, life sciences, or a technical field
  • MS in a relevant field preferred

Experience \& Technical Requirements

  • Prior internship or full-time experience (2 years or less) in biotech, life sciences, consulting, or a related field
  • Ability to learn and navigate multiple database systems
  • Ability to rapidly research, understand, and articulate complex scientific information with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong understanding of data management, analysis, and visualization
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Exposure to programming languages (Python, SQL) and AI tools is preferred but not required
