The Role

Founding-level backend engineer owning the core infrastructure powering an AI memory platform. Full ownership of APIs, data modeling, and production systems at scale. High expectation for end-to-end ownership from architecture through incident resolution and system hardening.

What You'll Do

• Build and own core backend APIs and data infrastructure
• Design and optimize data models for high-throughput AI memory systems
• Own production systems end-to-end including incident handling and system hardening
• Work with graph databases (Neo4j or similar) and vector storage
• Architect and scale systems handling millions of requests
• Work directly with founders in a high-intensity environment

What We're Looking For

• 5 to 8 years building backend systems and shipping REST APIs to production
• Strong Python with async experience
• Hands-on with FastAPI, Django, or Flask
• Deep SQL and data modeling experience (PostgreSQL or MySQL)
• Experience with graph databases (Neo4j or similar)
• Cloud infrastructure experience (AWS, Docker, Kubernetes)
• Proven ownership of production systems and incident handling
