Summary

This position is responsible for analyzing, reporting, and driving improvements in various parts of the business including procurement, cost of sales, G\&A and other operating expenses across operating restaurants. Additionally, this role will assist in preparing weekly report packages, monthly financial statements, and quarterly leadership presentations.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Work within finance team to prepare monthly financial statements and KPI reports.
  • Perform variance analysis on financial statements and identify trends/relationships.
  • Basic financial modeling, strong understanding of P\&L, variance analysis, basic forecasting.
  • Analyze, report on, and track cost of sales, including product mix trends.
  • Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and monthly forecasting.

EDUCATION And/or EXPERIENCE

  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills are an absolute must (Pivot Tables, Data Manipulation).
  • NetSuite, and/or Power BI experience preferred.
  • Must be able to analyze data, identify and verbalize conclusions, and propose action items.
  • Analytical thinking, connects data to cost drivers (traffic vs. Pricing; food cost inflation, labor productivity etc.)
  • Self-directed, highly organized, and able to meet strict deadlines.
  • Positive, helpful, and kind personality is a must.
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting.
  • 1-2 years of experience in the restaurant industry strongly preferred.

Language Skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be proficient in English. Spanish is a plus.
