Director of Analog \& Mixed-Signal IC Design - Munich

A global semiconductor organisation is seeking a

Director of Analog \& Mixed-Signal Design

to lead the development of advanced analog IC solutions across automotive, industrial, and consumer applications.

The role

:

  • Strategic Alignment:

Align analog design strategy and IP development with high-level business roadmaps and actionable engineering plans.

  • Global Leadership:

Direct and mentor distributed teams of designers and managers to achieve operational and strategic targets.

  • Technical Oversight:

Oversee the delivery of mixed-signal solutions, providing guidance on power management, converters, and full-chip integration.

  • Execution Excellence:

Manage the entire silicon lifecycle from initial specification through tape-out and high-volume production.

  • Quality \& Standards:

Enforce rigorous design methodologies and quality benchmarks to ensure high-performance silicon results.

  • Cross-Functional Synergy:

Coordinate with digital, physical, and manufacturing teams to ensure seamless integration and manufacturability.

  • Organizational Development:

Drive recruitment, talent succession, and a culture of continuous technical excellence and innovation.

  • Operational Management:

Oversee departmental budgets, resource allocation, and change management initiatives to optimize design efficiency.

Required Qualifications:

  • Education:

Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering.

  • Experience:

Minimum 15 years in analog or mixed-signal IC design.

  • Leadership:

At least 5 years in a management role.

  • Track Record:

Proven success with chip tape-outs and launches.

  • Expertise:

Deep knowledge of power management and design fundamentals.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Industry:

Experience with automotive-grade IC development.

  • Compliance:

Familiarity with regulated quality and reliability standards.

  • Environment:

History of working within global engineering organisations.
