Senior QA Analyst \& Automation Engineer

Location: Remote (England) with occasional London travel

Salary: £65,000 – £85,000 \+ benefits

The Opportunity

We’re hiring a Senior QA Analyst \& Automation Engineer to play a key role in advancing test automation and quality engineering across a high-performance, security-focused technology environment.

This is a hands-on, senior-level position where you’ll drive shift-left testing, design and build automation frameworks from the ground up, and influence how quality is embedded across engineering and DevOps.

You’ll work closely with development, DevOps, and product teams to ensure high-quality delivery of complex SDK-based software in a fast-paced, technically challenging environment.

In the near future, this role is likely going to involved into a team lead.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Leading the design and implementation of test automation frameworks and tooling
  • Driving adoption of shift-left testing and best practices across teams
  • Migrating manual test cases into scalable automated solutions
  • Integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps)
  • Collaborating with developers to improve testability and code quality
  • Applying AI-assisted tools to improve test coverage and efficiency
  • Delivering both functional and non-functional testing strategies
  • Analysing test results and providing actionable insights
  • Mentoring and supporting more junior team members

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong background in software QA with a focus on automation
  • Proven experience building automation frameworks from scratch
  • Experience testing SDKs or low-level software components
  • Solid understanding of TDD / BDD and modern testing practices
  • Experience working in Agile / DevOps environments
  • Hands-on experience integrating testing into CI/CD pipelines
  • Strong knowledge of cloud-based testing environments
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills

Desirable:

  • Experience with C# environments
  • Familiarity with Git and version control
  • Interest in applying AI within QA and automation
