Role Description
The Financial Planning Analyst role represents the next step in professional development within Instrumental Wealth’s career track. This position bridges foundational learning with increased
responsibility, focusing on comprehensive client support, advanced analytical work, and mentorship opportunities. Associates in this role work closely with Lead Advisors and Director of Financial Planning while developing the expertise needed for independent planning responsibilities.
Core Responsibilities
Client Support \& Financial Planning
- Prepare comprehensive meeting materials for Lead Advisor client sessions
- Answer broad-based financial planning questions with confidence
- Generate POD (Point of Delivery) documentation for client presentations
- Respond to basic financial planning inquiries from clients
Market Analysis \& Research
- Maintain awareness of financial markets and current events
- Assist with marketing analytics and client segmentation reports
- Stay informed on market trends to support advisory discussions
Technical \& Analytical Tasks
- Execute data entry in eMoney financial planning software
- Generate YCharts reports for investment analysis
- Develop talking points for client meetings and investment discussions
- Create rough POD outlines for advisor review
- Prepare rollover analyzer reports for client account transitions
Operations \& Client Service
- Assist operations team with service handoffs and workflow management
- Develop understanding of client engagement processes and scheduling
- Learn basic client agreements and documentation requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- 2-4 years experience in financial services
- Series 65 certification
- Actively pursuing Certified Financial Planner designation
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong interpersonal skills
- Organized and thrives in a role with set processes and procedures
- Able to work independently and in a team environment
- Mastery of Microsoft suite of products
- Able to manage and track multiple detailed tasks and assignments with frequently changing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced work environment
Compensation \& Benefits
Salary Range: $65,000 - $70,000 per year

Schedule: 8am – 5pm, Monday to Friday
