Core Responsibilities

• Architecture \& Design: Design and implement robust Data Warehouse solutions tailored to the complexities of a regulated banking environment.
• ETL Engineering: Develop and maintain high-performance ETL pipelines to ensure seamless data integration from diverse internal and external sources.
• Analytical Reporting: Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into sophisticated BI reporting (Power BI/SSRS).
• System Optimisation: Conduct rigorous performance tuning, indexing, and benchmarking to maintain system agility.
• Data Governance: Champion data quality and security standards, ensuring compliance within a highly regulated landscape.

Professional Profile

The ideal candidate will possess a blend of technical precision and analytical curiosity:

• 1-2 years of proven experience in Data Engineering or similar
• Proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL, with a deep understanding of Data Warehousing principles.
• Hands-on experience with ETL frameworks (e.g., SSIS) and BI visualisation tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
• An Advanced Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or Engineering.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to articulate technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
• Based in Malta with experience in locally-based companies.
