Job Description

The Training and Curriculum Support Specialist plays a vital role in shaping the future of healthcare careers! This dynamic position involves crafting engaging curriculum and delivering impactful training programs to empower our instructors and aides, ultimately boosting our organizational success. By identifying training needs and creating innovative learning materials, the specialist helps foster employee growth and confidence. Key responsibilities include assessing training requirements, designing effective curricula, and leading training sessions that inspire and elevate skills. Additionally, this role may involve stepping in to support the JMA program across various districts, ensuring everyone has the tools they need to thrive.

Duties and Responsibilities

· Schedule and coordinate semi-annual Instructor/Aide training in coordination with the Program Managers and Operations Director

· Train instructors and aides hired mid-semester

· Ensure onboarding training of new employees

· Coordinate with HR Generalist to facilitate required training for all employees

· Coach instructors and aides, as requested by Program Managers, in classroom management, teaching techniques, presentation skills, and other necessary training areas

· Provide feedback to instructors and aides to ensure quality program delivery with instructors and aides.

· Collect, organize, and share evaluations from district partners and Program Managers

  • Research and create classroom curriculum focused on healthcare career development for student programs for grades K-12 with hands-on activities and lessons that mimic real medical tasks or career pathways
  • Create supply lists for each lesson in the modules to be used for developing kits for distribution at program sites.
  • Ensure activities are age-appropriate and safe for student participants
  • Deliver regular updates to current curriculum to ensure relevancy and effectiveness

· Organize and lead debriefing sessions at the end of each session for all school districts

· Report to Operations Director

· All other duties as assigned

Requirements

· A.A./A.S. Degree; B.S./B.A. Degree preferred

· Clinical instruction experience preferred

· Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word)

· Excellent organizational and administrative skills

· Ability to evaluate and improve training programs

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills

· Teaching and classroom management experience preferred

Expected Weekly Hours:

40 hours

· Must be flexible and available to substitute as an Instructor or Aide for the

Junior Medical Academy program hours when needed

· Must be able to adjust work schedule as needed

Status:

Full-time

Pay: $25\.00 - $30\.00 per hour
