  • This position is eligible for remote work following completion of required onsite training. Candidates must reside in Washington State to participate in training and attend occasional in-person meetings as needed.*

The Data Analyst collects, validates, analyzes, and interprets clinical, operational, financial, and business data to support informed decision-making across the organization. This position partners with stakeholders to understand business needs, develop analytical solutions, and deliver meaningful reports, dashboards, and data visualizations that provide actionable insights. The Data Analyst promotes the effective use of healthcare information technology by ensuring data quality, integrity, and accessibility while supporting regulatory reporting, quality improvement initiatives, organizational objectives, the organization's strategic goals, and industry best practices.

**Preferred:**

  • Proficiency in XML
  • Proficiency in PowerShell scripting
  • Knowledge of UDS, HEDIS and other healthcare regulatory reporting.

**Education:**

  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Associate’s degree with emphasis in healthcare informatics or related field or in lieu of degree, a combination of equivalent education and work experience.

**Preferred:**

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field.

**Experience**

  • Healthcare setting (2 years).
  • Experience with data modeling (2 years).

**Preferred:**

  • Experience with health information systems.
  • Proficiency in the database structure of Health Information Systems: Practice Management (PM), Electronic Health Record (EHR), Image Control Systems (ICS), Electronic Dental Record (EDR).

Credentials

**Preferred:**

  • Certified Health Data Analyst (CHDA)
  • Certified Professional In Healthcare Quality (CPHQ)

**Job Specific Functions/Performance:**

  • Collaborates with departments across the organization to analyze data, identify trends, and develop insights that improve key performance indicators (KPIs), operational performance, and business outcomes.
  • Designs, develops, and maintains database queries, data extracts, and reporting datasets to produce accurate clinical, operational, and information. Monitors query performance, optimizes database processes for efficiency and scalability, and performs data validation and root cause analysis to identify and resolve data quality issues.
  • Develops, maintains, and automates standard, ad hoc, and management-level reports, dashboards, and data visualizations that provide meaningful insights and support organizational planning, performance monitoring, and decision-making.
  • Ensures the availability, accuracy, integrity, consistency, and quality of structured data through routine validation, monitoring, testing and troubleshooting.
  • Continuously evaluates reporting tools, databases structures, and reporting processes; recommends and implements improvements that increase efficiency, scalability, and data quality.
  • Maintains the confidentiality, security, and integrity of organizational data in accordance with applicable policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices. Ensures compliance with HIPAA and other applicable privacy and security regulations when managing protected health information.
  • Collaborates with other members of IT, business partners, and third party vendors to identify optimal data sources, improve data integration, and enhance access to business intelligence and reporting tools.
  • Develops and implements data collection methodologies, validation processes, and quality assurance procedures that improve statistical accuracy, reporting reliability, and operational efficiency.
  • Participates in the design, development, testing, and implementation of data products, including defining business requirements, data elements, and reporting specifications. Works with leadership to prioritize reporting and analytics initiatives.
  • Assists in the preparation, validation, and submission of required state, federal, regulatory, grant, and organizational compliance reports.
  • Presents analytical findings, statistical concepts, and technical information in both written and verbal formats to audiences with varying levels of technical expertise, providing clear recommendations and actionable insights.
  • Analyzes complex business reporting and analytical requirements, identifies opportunities for process improvement, and recommends data-driven solutions that support strategic and operational objectives.
  • Adheres to attendance standards in order to perform the job functions for daily operations and/or continuity of patient care.
