Position Summary:
The Marketing Coordinator supports the execution of integrated marketing initiatives across digital, physical, and campaign channels. This role is highly executional, responsible for managing outbound email, supporting brand and website updates, coordinating marketing materials, leading graphic design, and assisting with advertising and experiential efforts. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working across multiple projects and stakeholders.
The compensation range for this position is $25\.00-$30\.00 per hour. The rate of pay offered will be dependent upon the candidate’s relevant skills and experience. Interested candidates must be willing to work onsite at the Javits Center.
Essential Functions:
- Support the development and execution of marketing strategies to promote convention center events, programs, and community initiatives.
- Coordinate digital and print content (e.g., outbound email campaigns, sales enablement focused social media content, advertisements).
- Manage and update photo and video asset gallery by capturing and editing new content.
- Lead the management and maintenance of the convention center website (content updates, page development, and ongoing optimization of user experience and brand consistency).
- Partner with Sales to align messaging, branding, and promotional campaigns.
- Collaborate with external vendors, media partners, and creative teams for campaigns and event promotions.
- Coordinate logistics and content for LED walls, kiosks, and TV network displays.
- Support key initiatives such as annual reports, milestone campaigns, and special projects (e.g., anniversaries).
- Manage production and distribution of VIP gifting and promotional materials.
- Assess and recommend external events, sponsorship opportunities, and industry conferences where the convention center should have a presence.
- Lead and coordinate cross-departmental projects, ensuring timelines, budgets, and deliverables are met.
- Serve as liaison between departments (Sales, Guest Experience, Operations, Communications, People \& Culture) to align resources and priorities.
- Measure and report on marketing activities, providing updates to executives and stakeholders.
- Develop project documentation, workflows, and process improvements to drive efficiency.
- Provide administrative and project coordination support for marketing operations.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field.
- Portfolio required: Candidates must submit samples of design and marketing work that demonstrate creative execution across channels.
- 1–3 years of marketing or communications experience.
- Experience with email marketing platforms (e.g., Mailchimp, HubSpot, Salesforce Marketing Cloud).
- Experience with photo and video editing software (e.g., Lightroom, Photoshop, Premiere Pro).
- Experience with marketing success metrics and Google Analytics.
- Familiarity with CMS platforms and basic website management.
- Strong project management skills with proven ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Creative thinker with ability to design and deliver engaging content and events.
- Experience in hospitality, events, or convention center environment preferred.
