Directed is a powerhouse in consumer \& enterprise technology. Having over forty brands and thousands of products sold both through major retailers, marketplaces and direct to the consumer, our products create excitement, bring convenience, and add to the quality of life for all Australians.
We have grown our brands and product range significantly and are poised for our biggest year to date as we continue to expand into new categories. So, if you’re seeking to join a company that is a market leader, offering opportunities for growth and a focus on your development and success, now is the time to join Directed!
About the role
Sitting within our high energy Digital \& Marketing team, the
Content Manager
will own the social media presence across multiple brands, building strategies, leading influencer programs, and driving real commercial outcomes through every platform we operate on.
This isn't a content scheduler role. You'll have genuine strategic ownership; partnering with production, design, and product teams to craft campaigns that grow awareness and convert. You'll manage paid media budgets, guide content creators, and bring a sharp, data-informed perspective that continuously pushes our social performance forward.
If you thrive at the intersection of creativity and results, this is your kind of challenge.
How you will make an impact
You'll be the driving force behind how thousands of Australians experience our brands online. The role will see you:
- Lead and execute multi-platform social media strategies that directly fuel brand growth and revenue across the Directed Group.
- Own paid social campaigns with real budgets, optimising performance to hit ROI and conversion targets that matter to the business.
- Build and manage influencer partnerships that put our brands in front of the right audiences at the right moments.
- Turn analytics into action; delivering insightful reports that sharpen strategy and demonstrate clear impact to leadership.
- Be the creative gatekeeper, briefing and signing off content to ensure every post is on-brand, on-trend, and built to perform.
- Champion cross-functional collaboration, connecting design, video, product, and eCommerce teams to deliver cohesive campaigns at pace.
- Stay ahead of the curve by monitoring emerging trends and bringing fresh, innovative ideas that keep our brands culturally relevant.
Your skills and experience
You're the kind of person who checks a product or brand's social presence for fun; and immediately has multiple ideas to improve it. Our ideal
Content Manager
will demonstrate:
- 5\+ years of hands-on social media management experience for multiple brands, with a portfolio of results you're genuinely proud of.
- Experience sourcing and managing influencer relationships, from outreach through to performance reporting.
- Proven track record managing paid social campaigns at scale; you've handled large monthly spends and know how to make every dollar work.
- Deep platform fluency across TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn, with a sharp eye for what works where.
- Strong content creation skills to write compelling copy, brief a video shoot, and know your way around Canva or Adobe Creative Suite.
- Comfort with scheduling and analytics tools (Hootsuite, Sked, Sprout Social or similar) and the Microsoft suite.
- A collaborative, strategic mindset with the communication skills to bring stakeholders along on the journey.
Perks \& Benefits
Why Directed? You'll be part of a company that puts your personal development, growth and success first. Our supportive teams are dedicated to helping one another achieve our goals. We love to have fun, regularly organise company-wide social events to connect, and collectively celebrate our wins. As a member of our team, you'll also enjoy great benefits such as significant product discounts, and salary packaging perks. There's so much to look forward to when you join our team!
This hybrid role will require some onsite work at our Tullamarine corporate head office and also offer the option to work from Richmond. You’ll be on a great salary package, have plenty of opportunities to further your skills and grow, all whilst being part of a supportive, and collegiate team.
