This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a SharePoint Online Engineer based in the United States.
This is a fully remote engineering role focused on building and enhancing modern SharePoint Online solutions that power enterprise intranet and digital workplace experiences. The position sits at the intersection of frontend engineering, content management, and collaboration platform development, with a strong emphasis on creating scalable and reusable components. You will work closely with designers and frontend engineers to deliver intuitive, high-performance user interfaces using modern frameworks. The role involves building custom SharePoint solutions using SharePoint Framework (SPFx) and integrating data-driven features through APIs and GraphQL services. It is a hands-on development role where engineering quality, user experience, and maintainability are central priorities. You will contribute to both new builds and enhancements of existing enterprise web platforms in a collaborative, agile environment.
Accountabilities
- Design, develop, and maintain SharePoint Online components using SharePoint Framework (SPFx) to support intranet and digital workplace solutions.
- Collaborate with frontend engineers and UI/UX designers to build modern, reusable, and scalable web components.
- Develop responsive user interfaces using ReactJS and TypeScript, ensuring high performance and usability.
- Integrate SharePoint solutions with backend services using GraphQL APIs and related client libraries.
- Support content management, workflow automation, and customization of SharePoint Online environments.
- Participate in design discussions, code reviews, and agile ceremonies to ensure engineering consistency and quality.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of frontend architecture, development standards, and best practices.
Requirements
- Strong experience as a frontend or SharePoint Online engineer with hands-on expertise in SharePoint Framework (SPFx).
- Proficiency in ReactJS and TypeScript for building modern, component-based web applications.
- Experience working with SharePoint Online, including content management and intranet solutions.
- Solid understanding of GraphQL APIs and experience using GraphQL clients for data integration.
- Strong knowledge of frontend architecture, UI development principles, and responsive design.
- Ability to work collaboratively with designers and engineers in an agile environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail and a focus on code quality and maintainability.
