Job Summary communication products in accordance with international standards. The role supports the laboratory's accreditation, quality management system, and the continuous development of new testing capabilities while ensuring accurate and timely delivery of test reports.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform testing and evaluation of fiber optic cables, optical fibers, connectors, patch cords, closures, and passive optical components.
  • Conduct optical, mechanical, environmental, and durability testing in accordance with IEC, ISO, Telcordia (GR), and ITU-T standards.
  • Operate, maintain, and verify laboratory equipment, including OTDR, Optical Power Meter, Optical Light Source, Optical Spectrum Analyzer, Environmental Chambers, Tensile and Compression Testing Machines, and Climatic and Aging Test Equipment.
  • Analyze test data and prepare accurate technical reports.
  • Develop, validate, and implement new laboratory test methods and procedures.
  • Support ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation activities, including method validation, uncertainty calculations, proficiency testing, and internal audits.
  • Perform equipment calibration checks and coordinate external calibrations.
  • Investigate non-conforming work and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Ensure laboratory activities comply with quality, safety, and HSE requirements.
  • Maintain laboratory records, test documentation, and quality system documentation.
  • Provide technical support to customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Assist in evaluating new laboratory equipment and technologies.
  • Participate in research and development activities to introduce new testing services.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related discipline.
  • 2–5 years of experience in fiber optic testing, telecommunications laboratories, or TIC services.
  • Experience working in an ISO/IEC 17025 accredited laboratory is preferred.
