Mission

You will join one of our research projects hosted by a leading partner laboratory in Cologne, Germany. Your main mission will be to efficiently manage the project entrusted to you, taking an active part in its design, execution and delivery. You will be in charge of implementing all the experimental techniques required, processing and analysing the resulting data, and contributing to the dissemination and valorisation of the outcomes of Inovarion's research programmes.

Profil

We are looking for a Research Scientist (m/w/d) holding a

PhD

(Dr. rer. nat. or equivalent) in

cell biology, molecular biology, biochemistry

or a closely related discipline. A first postdoctoral experience and a track record of peer-reviewed publications are considered strong assets. You should master a broad set of the following techniques:

• Cell biology: culture and expansion of primary cells and cell lines, standardisation of protocols;
• Genetic engineering \& transduction: development and optimisation of gene modulation protocols (shRNA, sgRNA design and cloning for CRISPR/Cas9), transfection, lentivirus production and transduction;
• Molecular analyses \& protein biochemistry: qRT-PCR, primer design, Western blot, advanced normalisation methods and quantification;
• Phenotypic characterisation: design and execution of cell-based assays (viability, real-time proliferation, migration), flow cytometry;
• Project management \& communication: proactivity in troubleshooting technical issues, critical analysis of results, and strong presentation and synthesis skills. A good command of English (spoken and written) is required.
