Senior Scrum Master

for a project and below is the detailed requirement.

Job Title: Senior Scrum Master

Location: Malvern, PA

Qualifications \& Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field with 14\+ years of overall IT experience.
  • 5\+ years of experience as a dedicated Scrum Master leading Agile software development teams in enterprise environments.
  • Strong hands-on experience facilitating Agile Scrum ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, Sprint Retrospectives, and Backlog Refinement.
  • Proven expertise in Scrum principles, Agile methodologies, servant leadership, Agile coaching, and continuous process improvement.
  • Experience coaching multiple cross-functional Scrum teams while promoting Agile best practices and high-performing, self-organizing teams.
  • Hands-on experience with JIRA, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar Agile tools for backlog management, sprint planning, reporting, dashboards, and workflow management.
  • Strong understanding of Scrum artifacts including User Stories, Acceptance Criteria, Definition of Done (DoD), Product Backlog, Sprint Backlog, Velocity, Burndown Charts, and Agile Metrics.
  • Experience collaborating with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Developers, QA Engineers, UX Designers, Architects, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality software solutions.
  • Solid understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Agile software delivery practices, DevOps concepts, and CI/CD methodologies.
  • Excellent facilitation, communication, stakeholder management, conflict resolution, problem-solving, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), SAFe Scrum Master (SSM), or equivalent Agile certification is highly preferred.
  • Experience working in large, complex enterprise environments with exposure to Scaled Agile (SAFe), Kanban, Lean Agile practices, and Agile transformation initiatives is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate all Agile Scrum ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, Sprint Retrospectives, and Backlog Refinement.
  • Serve as a servant leader by coaching Scrum teams on Agile values, Scrum principles, and best practices to improve team maturity and delivery effectiveness.
  • Partner closely with Product Owners to prioritize and refine product backlogs, define user stories, establish acceptance criteria, and align sprint objectives with business goals.
  • Identify and remove impediments, resolve team conflicts, manage dependencies, and ensure teams remain focused on delivering sprint commitments.
  • Monitor sprint execution by tracking velocity, burndown charts, sprint progress, team capacity, and other Agile metrics, while providing transparent reporting to stakeholders.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, continuous improvement, and high-performance across multiple Scrum teams.
  • Coordinate with Engineering, QA, Product Management, UX, Architecture, and business stakeholders to ensure successful product delivery and alignment with organizational objectives.
