Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Carpenter role based in Marquette, MI. The Carpenter will perform day-to-day tasks such as framing, installing structural and finish components, and completing interior and exterior carpentry work according to project plans and specifications. Responsibilities include measuring, cutting, and assembling materials, using hand and power tools safely, and ensuring high-quality workmanship on custom remodels and new construction. The role also involves reading blueprints, collaborating with designers and project managers, maintaining a clean and organized job site, and following all safety procedures and building codes. The Carpenter will interact with clients and team members professionally, contributing to a smooth, on-time project delivery.
Qualifications
- Strong carpentry skills, including experience with framing and finish carpentry in residential remodeling or construction.
- Proficiency with hand tools and power tools, with a focus on safe, precise, and efficient use on active job sites.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications, and translate them into accurate, high-quality work.
- Solid understanding of building codes, construction best practices, and job site safety standards.
- Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work both independently and as part of a collaborative project team.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with a commitment to craftsmanship and customer satisfaction.
- Physical ability to perform carpentry tasks, including lifting materials, working on ladders, and standing for extended periods.
- Previous carpentry experience required; formal training, apprenticeship, or relevant certifications are a plus.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to various job sites in and around Marquette, MI.
