Jira Developer / Administrator

Location:

Atlanta, Georgia (Onsite)/ Locals Only

Role Overview

We are seeking a Jira Developer/Administrator with a strong technical background to support, configure, and enhance Jira and Confluence platforms. The ideal candidate will work closely with business and technical stakeholders to design scalable solutions, improve workflows, develop integrations, and optimize collaboration tools across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Configure, administer, and support Jira and Confluence environments.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to build and support applications using Jira Service Management (Service Desk).
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, business analysts, and technical teams to gather requirements and implement solutions.
  • Configure and maintain:
  • Workflows
  • Screen Schemes
  • Permission Schemes
  • Notification Schemes
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, boards, filters, and workflow customizations.
  • Troubleshoot Jira and Confluence issues and provide end-user support.
  • Research, evaluate, test, and implement Jira and Confluence add-ons and plugins.
  • Develop custom integrations and extensions to enhance platform functionality.
  • Create technical documentation, specifications, user guides, and test plans.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and platform optimization efforts.
  • Analyze business requirements and recommend scalable solutions.

Required Qualifications

  • 2\+ years of experience as a Jira Administrator, Jira Developer, or similar role.
  • Hands-on experience with Atlassian Jira and Confluence.
  • Strong knowledge of JQL (Jira Query Language).
  • Basic understanding of SQL queries.
  • Familiarity with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience customizing Jira workflows, post functions, dashboards, boards, and filters.
  • Experience with ScriptRunner and Groovy scripting.
  • Ability to automate and extend Jira and Confluence functionality.
  • Experience developing custom integrations, plugins, and add-ons.
  • Knowledge of JavaScript (jQuery) and CSS.
  • Experience with:
  • Jira Service Management (JSM)
  • Bitbucket
  • Jenkins
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
