The Technical Project Manager (TPM) is responsible for planning, executing, and delivering IT initiatives of varying size and complexity, with cross-functional teams. The TPM is accountable for planning and leading projects that align with the organization's strategic goals, applying foundational and advanced project management principles and utilizing Agile, hybrid, or other appropriate methodologies to drive value-driven outcomes. This role requires a strong partnership with technology stakeholders to translate objectives into actionable plans and deliver solutions that provide measurable business value.

A Technical Project Manager is a highly organized agile expert who can manage the delivery, execution of features and coordinate within the assigned department or across the IT teams. The TPM may run the agile ceremonies of one or more agile product engineering teams, or may allow the team to manage their agile processes themselves. In either case, they understand what a high functioning agile team looks like, and will push or pull the team as necessary to become one. The TPM works closely with the Product Owner to plan the backlog for the team, and works closely with the Engineers and Architects to get questions answered and requirements updated. TPM’ s are responsible for managing the communication across program stakeholders, defining mitigation strategies to remediate risks and issues, and assisting teams to ensure that the value being delivered aligns to the product vision defined by Product Managers.
