We are building a highly analytical, product-driven organization and are looking for a Product Analyst who can help us better understand user behavior, improve product performance, and drive smarter decision-making across the business.

Position Overview

Inner Balance is seeking a Product Analyst to join our Data \& BI team and partner closely with Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Leadership teams to improve product performance and customer experience. This role is focused on understanding how users interact with our platform, identifying friction and opportunities across the customer journey, and helping teams make data-informed product decisions.

The Product Analyst will:

  • proactively analyze product and user behavior data
  • identify patterns, anomalies, and opportunities
  • design and analyze experiments
  • improve visibility into key product metrics
  • help diagnose changes in engagement, conversion, and retention

This is not a passive reporting role. The ideal candidate is deeply curious, highly analytical, and comfortable taking ownership of investigations and recommendations from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities

Product and User Behavior

Analyze user behavior across the customer journey to identify:

  • friction points
  • drop-offs
  • engagement trends
  • conversion opportunities

Develop a deep understanding of:

  • onboarding flows
  • quizzes and conversion funnels
  • subscription behavior
  • retention patterns
  • customer lifecycle behavior

Translate complex product data into clear, actionable insights.

Experimentation \& A/B Testing

Design, analyze, and interpret:

  • A/B tests
  • onboarding experiments
  • product flow optimizations
  • feature experiments

Help teams:

  • define success metrics
  • structure experiments properly
  • interpret results accurately

Ensure experimentation is rigorous, measurable, and actionable.

Product Performance Monitoring

Continuously monitor key product and customer metrics.

Detect abnormal changes in:

  • conversion rates
  • engagement
  • retention
  • churn
  • funnel performance

Investigate root causes using a structured, hypothesis-driven approach. Partner with Product and Engineering teams to identify whether issues are related to:

  • broken flows
  • UX friction
  • tracking inconsistencies
  • product changes
  • technical issues

Data Visualization \& Dashboarding

Build and maintain dashboards and reporting systems in Looker (or similar BI tools) that:

  • provide visibility into product performance
  • simplify complex data
  • enable faster decision-making

Ensure stakeholders have reliable access to:

  • funnel metrics
  • retention data
  • cohort analysis
  • experimentation results
  • customer behavior insights

Tracking \& Analytics Infrastructure

Partner with Product and Engineering teams to:

  • define tracking requirements
  • implement event tracking
  • improve analytics accuracy

Help structure:

  • tracking plans
  • event taxonomies
  • product analytics tables and views

Ensure the company can reliably measure:

  • user actions
  • feature engagement
  • conversion behavior
  • retention metrics

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Partner closely with:

  • Product
  • Engineering
  • Marketing
  • Data \& BI
  • Leadership

Support product prioritization and roadmap decisions with data-driven recommendations. Act as a bridge between product strategy and user behavior insights.

Strategic Product Insights

Identify larger product and business opportunities through data analysis.

Help answer questions such as:

  • Why are users dropping off at specific stages?
  • Which experiences improve conversion or retention?
  • What behaviors predict long-term retention?
  • Which product changes improve engagement?
  • Which customer cohorts perform best over time?

Proactively surface insights—not just respond to requests.

Qualifications

Required

  • 2\+ years of experience in product analytics, product analysis, or data analytics
  • Strong SQL skills and experience working with large datasets
  • Experience with Looker / LookML or similar BI tools
  • Strong understanding of:
  • funnel analysis
  • event tracking
  • segmentation
  • cohort analysis
  • retention analysis
  • experimentation frameworks
  • Experience working on D2C or ecommerce products
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Preferred

  • Experience in startup or high-growth environments
  • Experience working closely with Product and Engineering teams
  • Familiarity with product analytics tools (Mixpanel, Amplitude, Heap, etc.)
  • Experience designing and analyzing A/B tests
  • Experience in subscription-based businesses
  • Experience in health tech, digital health, or regulated consumer products
