Electrical Engineer

Job Summary

We are looking for an Electrical Engineer to handle design and process activities in a fast-growing dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will have a mix of systems, digital, and analog/audio circuit design and implementation, plus an understanding of manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities

Design Engineering:

• Communication with Sales, Marketing, Operations, and other Engineering sections is critical to building the right product.
• Circuit board level design and implementation of Wahsega’s products, including component selection, schematics, layout, and testing. Common circuit elements include DSP, audio circuits, power supplies, and interfaces such as USB, HDMI, Ethernet, etc...
• Prefer someone with the ability to design and maintain Verilog based FPGA circuits.
• Document and maintain engineering documentation.

Systems and Testing:

• Systems level thinking, including how the customer will use the product and how it will be manufactured. Understand overall project goals to establish circuit design requirements. Establishing requirements that will influence how the product is designed and manufactured.
• Occasional interface with customers to help solve engineering aspects of their unique problems and challenges.
• Use internal and external metrics to establish and enhance reliability of boards and products.
• Experience with Python and/or C/C\+\+ is helpful.
• Compliance test experience is preferred.

Manufacturing:

• Design and support of test gear used in automated testing of boards and systems.
• Support legacy designs, including updates for cost/tariff reductions and parts obsolescence
• Experience working with automated manufacturing lines would be very helpful.

Qualifications \& Requirements

• 4-year degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously using tracking tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
