Job Description

A rewarding contract opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to support high school students in a specialized educational setting focused on Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and other learning differences. This role is based in Ludlow, MA, within the Lower Pioneer Valley Educational Collaborative, serving students through the Compass High Program at Ludlow High School. The program emphasizes personalized, supportive education designed to build skills for greater independence in a non-traditional classroom environment.

Responsibilities include providing speech-language services to high school students with ASD or learning differences while supervising a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA). Strong collaboration with interdisciplinary teams and families is essential to ensure effective therapeutic outcomes and goal attainment tailored to each student's unique needs.

Key Qualifications And Experience

  • Valid Speech-Language Pathologist licensure meeting Massachusetts state requirements
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred
  • Experience working with high school-aged students, particularly those on the autism spectrum or with learning differences
  • Prior experience supervising an SLPA is highly desirable
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage students and collaborate with educational staff

  • Contract position from August 27, 2026, to June 22, 2027 (dates subject to change based on school calendar)

  • Approximately 32\.5 hours per week
