Job Description
We are seeking a
Human Resources Generalist
to manage day-to-day HR operations, employee experience, and HR shared services support. This role partners with employees and managers across onboarding, self-service tools, compliance, and local HR programs, while delivering a high level of customer service throughout the employee lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Partner with departments on workforce planning and organizational design, including intake consultations and follow-up coordination
- Support hiring managers with interview preparation and serve as a liaison for candidate and new hire experience
- Monitor regulatory and legal developments affecting HR, and escalate compliance risks or issues as needed
- Track performance management compliance and manage separation processes, including conducting exit interviews
- Support administration of compensation programs, employee wellness initiatives, and tuition reimbursement programs
- Lead and support employee engagement activities such as service awards, job fairs, open enrollment, recognition events, and new hire orientation
- Act as a subject matter "super user " for HR technology systems and support related process and strategic initiatives
- Provide administrative support with strong customer service to reinforce the HR operating model
- Assist with research on HR policy, training, and strategic planning projects as needed
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field (
or equivalent experience, see below
)
- 2\+ years of experience in human resources, administrative, or related work
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Working knowledge of, or strong aptitude to learn, core HR disciplines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
- Ability to handle confidential information with a high degree of discretion
Equivalent Experience Accepted
- Associate's degree plus 2\+ years of relevant experience, or
- High school diploma/equivalent plus 4\+ years of relevant experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field
- Project management or consulting experience
- SHRM-CP (SHRM Certified Professional)
- PHR (Professional in Human Resources)
