Web Content Migration Specialist
to join the digital communications team at a prestigious, world-renowned Ivy League research university. This is an incredible opportunity to bring your digital expertise to a world-class academic institution, working on a high-visibility web transformation project with strong potential for permanent conversion.
Web Content Migration Specialist Responsibilities:
In this role, you will be the execution engine behind a critical website content migration and redesign initiative. Acting as the champion for digital content quality, you will work directly within a structured Drupal CMS environment to create, edit, and migrate dynamic web pages using existing templates and reusable content blocks. You will partner with multiple academic and administrative stakeholders to gather asset materials, build out rich faculty/staff profiles, and configure standard web widgets like carousels, event calendars, and embedded media feeds.
A heavy focus of your day-to-day will involve digital asset management and rigorous quality assurance (QA), proactively auditing pages to eliminate formatting inconsistencies, resolve broken links, and ensure strict web accessibility standards are met. This role demands a tech-savvy, highly organized professional who can seamlessly manage a content tracking pipeline in Excel or Google Sheets while maintaining a sharp eye for visual detail.
Web Content Migration Specialist Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, IT, Web Design, Journalism, or an equivalent mix of education and experience.
- 3\+ years of hands-on experience managing, updating, and migrating web content specifically within a Drupal CMS environment.
- Direct experience creating and editing web pages using pre-existing templates, structured content types, media libraries, and custom URL aliases.
- Proven track record of conducting thorough QA testing for web content, explicitly tracking down broken links, fixing layout inconsistencies, and checking accessibility issues.
- Strong communication skills with experience working across multiple teams to gather content, clarify requirements, and resolve open questions.
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets for tracking project status/migration mapping, along with basic image editing skills (cropping, resizing, and web optimization).
Web Content Migration Specialist Preferred Qualifications (Pluses)
- Basic HTML knowledge sufficient to troubleshoot minor inline formatting or styling bugs.
- Experience configuring dynamic Drupal components like content carousels, dynamic feeds, and third-party video embeds.
