Location: Remote (Hybrid option available for Austin-based candidates)

Job Type: Full-Time

Schedule: Monday–Friday

Compensation: $55,000–$70,000 per year

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Lead Financial Planner to support our advisory partners by delivering high-quality, accurate, and timely financial plans. This role goes beyond plan preparation and it includes managing workflow, supporting Advisors with planning software, and contributing to process improvement initiatives.

This is an ideal opportunity for a financial planning professional looking to deepen technical expertise while taking on leadership responsibility within a dynamic and supportive organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Gather and analyze client financial data to develop comprehensive planning strategies
  • Create detailed financial plans using RightCapital, including modeling, retirement analysis, and projections
  • Manage the planning queue to ensure timely delivery of high-quality client deliverables
  • Prepare professional reports and presentation materials for Advisor-led client meetings
  • Provide support to Advisors regarding planning software and technical questions
  • Maintain accurate, organized, and up-to-date client planning records
  • Identify and contribute to process improvement and special project initiatives
  • Stay current with industry trends, regulatory updates, and financial planning best practices
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with Advisors to ensure a seamless planning experience

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Paraplanner or in a comparable financial planning role
  • Working knowledge of RightCapital or similar financial planning software
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, etc.)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage workload independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
  • CFP® designation or progress toward certification
  • State insurance or securities licenses
  • 2\+ years of hands-on experience using RightCapital
