Kindergarten/First Grade Teacher

Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Elementary School Teacher to join our educational team. Duties

• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum standards in subjects such as literacy, math, and physical education.
• Utilize various teaching strategies to accommodate different learning styles and abilities, including special education needs.
• Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a safe and productive learning environment.
• Mentor students, providing guidance and support for their academic and social development.
• Assess student progress through standardized testing and other evaluation methods, providing feedback to students and parents.
• Incorporate learning technology into lessons to enhance student engagement and understanding.
• Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and share best practices for teaching.
• Maintain open communication with parents regarding student performance, behavior, and classroom activities.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational trends and practices.
• Provide tutoring support for students needing additional assistance in specific subject areas.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in any field
• Bachelors degree in Education or a related field; certification in Early Childhood Education preferred.
• Proven experience working with children in an educational setting, including classroom experience or private school experience.
• Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and early intervention strategies.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Familiarity with Montessori methods or other innovative teaching approaches is a plus.
• Proficient in lesson planning, curriculum development, and behavior management techniques.
• Experience working with students with autism or other special needs is highly desirable.

Pay: $40,000\.00 - $45,000\.00 per year
