Role Description:

The Partner x Global Head of Hardware Engineering (COO) is a full-time, on-site leadership role based in Boston, MA, overseeing end-to-end hardware engineering strategy and execution across WCG’s robotics, autonomous systems, and drone platforms. This role leads global hardware engineering teams, defines hardware roadmaps, and ensures seamless integration with AI and software systems to support AGI, robotics, and field-deployed platforms.

The individual will manage operational performance for hardware programs, including design, prototyping, testing, manufacturing partnerships, and lifecycle management, while establishing standards for reliability, safety, and regulatory compliance. Responsibilities include building and mentoring high-performing engineering teams, implementing scalable processes, coordinating cross-functional initiatives with product, software, and consulting groups, and driving continuous improvement in quality, cost, and time-to-market. The role also involves executive-level stakeholder engagement, strategic planning, and contributing to business development and partnerships related to hardware solutions.

Qualifications:

• Demonstrated leadership in global hardware engineering organizations, including oversight of robotics, autonomous systems, or complex electromechanical products.
• Experience in hardware architecture, product design, prototyping, and system integration with AI, software, and cloud-based platforms.
• Proven ability to build, scale, and mentor multidisciplinary engineering teams (mechanical, electrical, embedded, test) in high-growth environments.
• Strong background in operational excellence: process development, quality systems, reliability engineering, and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Track record managing vendors, manufacturing partners, and supply chains for advanced hardware products, including cost, schedule, and risk management.
• Familiarity with relevant regulatory, safety, and certification standards for robotics, drones, or industrial hardware platforms.
• Excellent strategic planning, stakeholder management, and communication skills, with the ability to align technical initiatives to business objectives.
