Learning \& Engagement Manager
Salary:
up to £45,000 DOE \+ benefits (listed below)
Location:
Northampton (Hybrid)
Working Pattern:
37\.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday with hybrid working (2 days in the office, 3 days working from home)

This role goes far beyond organising training sessions. It is about embedding a culture where learning and development become part of everyday working life.
You will act as the bridge between business goals and people development, building strong internal relationships across the organisation and introducing creative learning initiatives that help teams grow and perform at their best.
Learning and development professionals play a vital role in identifying organisational skill needs and creating learning environments where employees can continually develop and perform at their best.

Key Responsibilities
- Move the organisation away from traditional one-off training days towards a culture where learning happens through peer sharing, internal learning and continuous development.
- Build clear learning pathways and career frameworks so employees can see how they can progress.
- Partner with team leaders to create targeted development plans based on team needs.
Manager Support \& Leadership Development
- Provide proactive support to managers, helping them run effective 1:1s, feedback conversations and team development discussions.
- Develop a practical Manager Playbook with tools and resources that support effective leadership.
- Design and deliver management development programmes for both new and experienced managers.
Performance \& Growth
- Help embed a culture of open and continuous feedback.
- Support promotion processes to ensure they are fair and transparent.
- Contribute to succession planning, identifying and developing future leaders.
Culture \& Engagement
- Partner with internal groups that lead DEI, wellbeing and culture initiatives, helping turn ideas into meaningful actions.
- Manage engagement surveys and work with leaders to turn insights into practical improvements to the employee experience.
- Introduce new ways to recognise and celebrate success across the business.
About You
This role will suit someone who is tenacious, creative and naturally curious, with the confidence to build strong relationships across a business.
You will likely bring:
- At least 5 years experience in a People, L\&D or Talent Development role.
- Experience building learning frameworks, leadership programmes or development initiatives.
- Strong stakeholder management and the ability to influence across all levels of the organisation.
- A proactive and tenacious mindset, comfortable driving initiatives forward.
- A passion for developing people and building an engaging workplace culture.
