Senior Project Manager – Institutional / Commercial Construction

A well-established Commercial General Contractor is hiring a Senior Project Manager to help lead major projects across the Los Angeles market.

This is a full-time role for someone with strong local California experience, solid job tenure, and a background delivering education, civic, healthcare, or similar commercial projects.

The company has a very strong backlog of secured work, long-standing client relationships, and a clear opportunity for the right person to progress into more senior executive-level roles over time.

Responsibilities include:

  • Leading projects from preconstruction through closeout
  • Managing project teams, subcontractors, consultants, clients, and internal stakeholders
  • Overseeing budgets, schedules, contracts, change orders, RFIs, submittals, procurement, and project documentation
  • Working closely with Superintendents to make sure field operations, quality, safety, and schedule are properly aligned
  • Managing client relationships and representing the company professionally throughout the project lifecycle
  • Leading OAC meetings, subcontractor meetings, and internal project reviews
  • Tracking project financials, forecasting, cost reports, billing, and buyout
  • Identifying project risks early and putting solutions in place before they impact schedule or budget
  • Supporting junior project management staff, Project Engineers, and Assistant Project Managers
  • Driving projects to successful completion while maintaining strong client and subcontractor relationships

What we’re looking for:

  • 10\+ years of commercial construction experience
  • Proven experience as a Project Manager or Senior Project Manager with a General Contractor
  • Strong background delivering education, civic, healthcare, or similar commercial projects
  • Local California project experience is strongly preferred
  • Los Angeles / Southern California market experience would be highly relevant
  • Strong understanding of project financials, scheduling, contracts, procurement, change management, and client communication
  • Ability to lead project teams and manage multiple stakeholders effectively
  • Experience working closely with field teams and Superintendents
  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
  • Procore experience would be beneficial
  • Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred
  • Solid job tenure is important
