Location: Remote

American Molecular Imaging (AMI) is a technology-enabled radiology services company focused on delivering high-quality, efficient, and scalable imaging solutions to healthcare providers, particularly in the oncology and nuclear medicine fields. We partner closely with radiologists, outpatient centers, hospitals, and research organizations to optimize clinical workflows, ensure operational excellence, and support timely, accurate diagnostic care through a client-centric and data-driven approach.

The Credentialing Specialist is a key member of the AMI team, working under the direct supervision of the Client Success Manager. This position is primarily responsible for supporting the credentialing, privileging, and licensing processes for our radiologist network. In addition to credentialing duties, the Credentialing Specialist will contribute to client invoicing, radiologist scheduling support, and revenue cycle management functions. This is a fully remote, full-time position with schedule flexibility to accommodate your time zone.

This role is particularly suited to someone with 2\+ years experience in physician credentialing/licensing, ideally with familiarity using MD Staff and Excel. You will collaborate closely with AMI’s internal teams, including Customer Success Managers, C-Suite, and PACS/IT teams, to ensure client accounts and radiologists are fully supported.

Key Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Manage initial credentialing and privileging applications for physician radiologists
  • Gather, verify, and maintain required documentation including licenses, certifications, education, work history, malpractice insurance, and professional references
  • Assist radiologists in obtaining and maintaining payor enrollments and state medical licenses
  • Track and monitor reappointment dates to ensure ongoing compliance
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date physician records, databases, and spreadsheets using MD Staff and Microsoft Excel
  • Serve as a liaison between radiologists and client credentialing departments to obtain verifications and resolve outstanding issues
  • Communicate clearly and consistently with clients and radiologists
  • Identify and escalate issues or delays in the credentialing process in a timely manner
  • Support client invoicing processes in coordination with the Client Success Manager
  • Assist with radiologist scheduling as needed
  • Utilize multiple communication channels including phone, email, fax, and mail
  • Identify opportunities to improve credentialing workflows and recommend best practices
  • Remain current on industry regulations, compliance standards, and payor requirements
  • Support the Client Success team with additional projects and assigned tasks

Scheduling \& Administrative Support

  • Track physician and radiologist work schedules and assist with coverage planning for time off.
  • Maintain and distribute contact lists, workflow documents, and operational reference materials.

Position Details \& Benefits

  • This position is fully remote and full time (40 hours per week)
  • $40,000 - $50,000 annual starting salary

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred
  • At leat 1 year of experience in radiologist or physician credentialing, privileging, and/or licensing
  • Experience in a medical office or healthcare administrative environment
  • Experience with MD Staff credentialing software is a bonus
  • Familiarity with radiology and imaging modalities preferred
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and clear communication.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, remote environment.
  • Team player who can work effectively with cross-functional teams and remote colleagues.
