DevOps / Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

Role Overview

We are looking for a DevOps / Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join our growing technology team within the gaming, sweepstakes, and crypto space. This role will be responsible for maintaining, scaling, securing, and optimizing cloud infrastructure and deployment environments across multiple high-availability platforms.

The ideal candidate is hands-on, proactive, and comfortable operating in fast-paced environments where uptime, security, scalability, and automation are critical. The role combines DevOps ownership with strong AWS engineering capabilities and close collaboration with development, security, data, and product teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, maintain, and optimize scalable AWS cloud infrastructure
• Manage and improve CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes
• Ensure platform reliability, uptime, monitoring, and incident response readiness
• Implement infrastructure-as-code practices and automation across environments
• Manage Kubernetes, Docker, container orchestration, and related tooling
• Maintain cloud security best practices, access controls, secrets management, and compliance standards
• Support production environments across gaming, sweepstakes, crypto, and payment-related systems
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot infrastructure issues, and optimize costs
• Collaborate with engineering teams to improve deployment velocity and platform stability
• Support disaster recovery, backup strategies, failover mechanisms, and business continuity planning
• Assist with infrastructure scaling during high-traffic campaigns, launches, and peak activity periods
• Work closely with security and compliance teams on audits, logging, and operational controls
• Document infrastructure architecture, operational procedures, and technical standards
• Contribute to evolving DevOps practices, tooling, and engineering culture

Technical Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience with AWS services and cloud-native infrastructure
• Experience managing production environments with high uptime requirements
• Solid understanding of Linux systems administration
• Experience with Kubernetes and Docker in production environments
• Experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, or other infrastructure-as-code tools
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
• Strong knowledge of monitoring and logging tools (e.g. Datadog, Grafana, CloudWatch, Prometheus, ELK)
• Familiarity with networking, DNS, VPNs, load balancing, CDN configuration, and security groups
• Experience with Git workflows and automation scripting
• Understanding of security best practices in cloud environments
• Experience supporting distributed or multi-region systems is considered an asset
• Exposure to gaming, iGaming, sweepstakes, fintech, payments, or crypto environments is highly preferred

Preferred Experience

• Experience operating within regulated or high-risk environments
• Exposure to blockchain infrastructure, wallets, or crypto-related services
• Experience handling rapid scaling environments and high transaction volumes
• Familiarity with PostgreSQL, Redis, Kafka, or similar technologies
• Experience with incident management and on-call support processes
