Mechanical Design Engineer

Position Description

TruNorth Automation is looking to increase growth in its engineering department. Ideal candidate is self-driven and energetic with a learner mindset. You will be using CAD to develop a design from a conceptual state into a manufacture-ready, sophisticated piece of automation equipment. Then following that design through the build phase, all the way to customer acceptance.

Qualifications

•Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field with minimum GPA of 3\.0

•Practical experience within an internship, co-op, or team related to mechanical design

•Hold effective interpersonal and communication skills

•Competent in MS Office: excel, word, power point

•Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

•Experience with SolidWorks or other 3D CAD system is preferred

•Experience with mechanics, mechanical design, automation and/or robotics a plus

•Able to travel by air or car (estimated 5% max.)

•US citizen or authorization to work permanently for any Employer in the United States
