Position Impact:
The Director of Marketing is a senior leadership role responsible for developing comprehensive marketing strategies to drive demand generation, brand awareness, and business growth across Race's markets. This position leads the marketing function through four direct reports—an Operations Manager, Content Marketing Manager, Events Manager, and Demand Generation Manager—each of whom executes with their respective teams. The Director of Marketing provides strategic leadership, fosters a high-performing culture, and holds managers accountable for results within their functional areas. Key responsibilities include setting the marketing strategy and departmental KPIs, directing ecommerce and digital advertising strategy, providing strategic direction for content and events, managing the overall marketing budget, and driving cross-departmental collaboration.
Requirements
Qualifications and Experience:
- Eligibility for US Employment without sponsorship
- Minimum of 21 years of age
- Bachelor's degree (B. A.) in Business Administration, Marketing, or equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred
- Minimum of ten years of experience in marketing roles, with a track record of progressively increasing responsibility
- Minimum of 5 years in a senior leadership position, managing and developing marketing teams of 10\+ members, achieving performance targets required
- Thorough knowledge of telecom industry regulations and policies, ensuring adherence in all marketing activities
- Proven ability to develop and execute strategic marketing plans
- Deep understanding of marketing principles, methodologies, and best practices
- Proven analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions
- Proficiency in budgeting, forecasting, and financial management
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Experience with CRM systems, digital marketing strategies, analytics, ecommerce platforms, and paid digital advertising management
- Ability to communicate effectively in English (speaking, reading, writing, and comprehension)
- Certified Marketing Professional (CMP) is a plus
- Project Management Professional (PMP) is a plus
- Digital marketing certifications (e.g., Google Analytics, Google Ads, HubSpot) a plus
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Proficiency in Spanish Language desirable

- Proficient use of MS Office applications including Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; marketing automation platforms (e.g., HubSpot, Marketo); analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Tableau)

Marketing Strategy \& Leadership
- Owns the development and execution of the overall marketing strategy aligned with company goals, including demand generation, brand, digital, content, and events
- Partners with executive leadership to drive strategic initiatives, growth opportunities, and market expansion
- Establishes pricing strategies in collaboration with leadership to ensure competitiveness and profitability
- Identifies innovation opportunities to improve marketing effectiveness and business outcomes
Market Intelligence \& Positioning
- Leads market intelligence efforts, including competitive analysis, customer insights, and industry trends to inform strategy and positioning
- Defines target segments, value propositions, and go-to-market approaches
- Partners with product teams to align messaging, positioning, and successful product launches
- Incorporates customer feedback and research into marketing and product strategies
Brand, Communications \& External Relations
- Oversees brand strategy, public relations, and communications to ensure a consistent and compelling market presence
- Represents the company at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities
- Builds and maintains relationships with key customers, partners, and industry stakeholders
- Provides strategic direction for event marketing programs, including trade shows and community engagement
Demand Generation \& Marketing Execution
- Defines demand generation strategy and pipeline goals; ensures alignment with sales objectives
- Sets campaign strategy and performance expectations across all marketing channels
- Oversees execution through team leadership, ensuring campaigns are effectively delivered, optimized, and scalable
- Directs content strategy to support brand consistency, engagement, and conversion across all channels
Digital Marketing \& Ecommerce
- Oversees digital marketing and ecommerce performance, including paid media, search, and conversion optimization
- Sets investment strategy and channel mix to maximize ROI and revenue growth
- Ensures strong online presence, engagement, and customer acquisition across digital platforms
Performance Management \& Analytics
- Owns marketing performance measurement, reporting, and optimization across campaigns, channels, and pipeline
- Establishes KPIs and dashboards to track effectiveness and inform decision-making
- Provides regular performance insights and recommendations to senior leadership
Marketing Operations \& Technology
- Defines and optimizes marketing operations, including processes, workflows, and best practices
- Oversees marketing technology stack, including CRM and automation tools, to drive efficiency and scalability
- Ensures data integrity and effective use of systems for reporting and execution
Team Leadership \& Development
- Leads and develops the marketing organization through direct reports, setting clear goals and accountability for performance
- Coaches and mentors managers to build high-performing, scalable teams
- Fosters a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and results-driven execution
Financial \& Compliance Management
- Manages the marketing budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and cost-effective execution
- Oversees forecasting and aligns marketing plans with financial targets
- Ensures compliance with applicable regulations, policies, and industry standards
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Policy and Procedure Adherence: Ensures departmental alignment with organizational policies, guidelines, and procedures outlined in the Race Communications Employee Handbook, serving as a key driver of compliance and best practices
- Strategic Leadership: Develops and oversees strategies for team performance, identifying key initiatives to enhance safety, efficiency, and effectiveness across multiple practices within the department
- Team Development and Mentorship: Leads efforts to train, mentor, and develop team leaders and managers, ensuring robust succession planning and the cultivation of future organizational leaders
- Organizational Support: Acts as a resource for team leaders and employees on complex issues, resolving matters in alignment with organizational policies, applicable laws, and company values
- Performance Management: Establishes and communicates clear performance goals and standards for the team. Provides strategic feedback through regular evaluations, aligning individual and team objectives with the organization's vision
- Resource Management: Oversees resource allocation, ensuring all teams within the department have access to the tools and support needed to achieve success
- Training and Development Programs: Identifies training gaps and oversees the development of comprehensive programs to enhance skills, promote innovation, and improve team performance
- Conflict Resolution and Team Dynamics: Proactively addresses conflicts or interpersonal challenges at a strategic level, fostering a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performing culture
- Operational Oversight: Ensures accurate timekeeping and compliance with payroll processes by implementing systems for accountability and addressing discrepancies efficiently
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serves as a liaison between the department and upper management, providing regular updates on progress, performance, and key initiatives
- Strategic Reporting: Reports departmental outcomes to senior leadership, analyzing key performance indicators (KPIs) and adjusting strategies as needed to achieve company objectives
- Supervisory Oversight: Oversees direct supervision of subordinates, including senior managers and team leaders, ensuring consistent application of performance reviews, training programs, and disciplinary actions when necessary
- Compliance and Risk Management: Ensures all departmental activities comply with corporate policies and regulatory standards, implementing processes for transparency and accountability at all levels
