A market-leading manufacturer of high-performance, complex engineered to order products for aerospace, military, alternative energy, and medical applications seeks a
Project Engineer
to lead new product development.
POSITION SUMMARY:
Lead cross-functional engineering teams managing custom thermal solution projects from design through qualification testing. This role requires strong technical skills combined with customer-facing program management abilities.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead new product development programs ensuring cost, performance, and schedule targets are met
- Conduct customer-facing meetings for program updates and technical reviews
- Design new products
- Develop winning technical proposals for new business opportunities
- Create and execute verification test plans, procedures, and engineering reports
- Interface with manufacturing during production implementation
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- BS Mechanical Engineering with 5\+ years of design engineering experience
- Proficiency with SolidWorks and Microsoft Project
- Experience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) tools, and CFD.
- Knowledge of metal forming, CNC machining, metal joining, heat treating
- Hands-on lab/manufacturing experience with build/test of development hardware
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- US Citizenship required (no dual citizenship)
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Part of 19-person engineering team with 3-person Project Engineering group
- Typical workload: 2-3 major projects plus 3 smaller ongoing projects
- Focus on New Product Introduction (NPI)
- Collaborative environment requiring interaction across engineering, manufacturing, and production
