THIS IS FOR A PERMANENT POSITION WITH A DEXIAN CLIENT BASED IN MILWAUKEE. SALARY AND BENEFITS WILL BE PROVIDED BY THE CLIENT, NOT DEXIAN.

Role Overview:

The Information Technology Infrastructure Director leads the strategy, design, delivery, and ongoing operations of the company’s technology infrastructure and information security capabilities. This role ensures secure, reliable, scalable, and cost-effective platforms across data centers, cloud services, networks, endpoints, identity, communications, and core IT operations—enabling business continuity, protecting company information assets, and supporting growth. The role also leads infrastructure integration activities for mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures, ensuring Day 1 readiness and timely post-close integration.

Main Function:

  • Provide enterprise infrastructure leadership to deliver stable, secure, and high-performing IT services while managing risk, optimizing cost, and improving the end-user experience.
  • Direct infrastructure engineering and operations and provide leadership for information security operations and governance in partnership with business leaders; set standards and roadmaps; oversee vendor and contract performance; ensure availability, security, and compliance of technology services; and lead infrastructure integration efforts associated with mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain the infrastructure and security technology strategy, roadmap, reference architectures, and standards (network, cloud, compute, storage, identity, endpoint, collaboration, and core IT operations).
  • Own service availability, performance, capacity planning,

and lifecycle management for infrastructure platforms; define and track key operational metrics.

  • Lead infrastructure operations (IT service management, service desk, monitoring, patching, backup, and incident/problem management) to ensure reliable services and rapid restoration.
  • Oversee network services i

ncluding LAN/WAN, WiFi, Internet connectivity, segmentation, and remote access/VPN/zero trust connectivity.

  • Manage

cloud and data center environments

including virtualization, storage, and compute; guide migrations and modernization initiatives.

  • Lead identity and endpoint services (directory services, IAM, MFA, device management, software distribution) to improve security posture and end-user experience.
  • Mature information security capabilities and controls in partnership with stakeholders, including vulnerability management, security monitoring/logging, secure configuration standards, and third-party risk requirements.
  • Coordinate incident response for infrastructure/security events, including escalation, containment, forensics support, communications, and post-incident remediation.
  • Establish and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity capabilities; conduct regular testing and continuous improvement.
  • Lead M\&A infrastructure

and security integration efforts, including IT due diligence support, Day 1 readiness planning, network/identity connectivity, tooling standardization, and post-close integration or separation.

  • Lead vendor selection, contract negotiations, and vendor performance; ensure clear scopes of work, cost controls, and measurable outcomes.
  • Manage budgets, forecasting, and licenses; optimize costs through standardization, rationalization, and automation. Build and develop a high-performing team through hiring, coaching, training, and performance management.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 10\+ years of progressive IT infrastructure experience, including 5\+ years leading infrastructure and operations teams in a mid-size to enterprise environment.
  • Demonstrated expertise across core infrastructure domains (networking, Windows virtualization, storage/backup, cloud services such as Azure/AWS, identity/IAM, endpoint management, and collaboration platforms).
  • Experience leading or partnering on information security programs (e.g., vulnerability management, security tooling/monitoring, IAM/MFA, incident response, audits) and driving risk-based remediation across IT teams and vendors
  • M\&A infrastructure integration experienc

e (due diligence, Day 1 readiness, post-close integration and/or divestiture separation).
