DevOps Engineer (Remote)

2\. About the Opportunity:

The DevOps Engineer will be responsible for extending, maintaining, and creating pipelines to ensure continuous delivery of software products and services. This role plays a key part in implementing complex technical initiatives and coordinating with cross-functional teams. The position contributes by improving deployment processes, enhancing system scalability and reliability, and aligning technical efforts with organizational objectives.

3\. Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain Azure DevOps (ADO) CI/CD pipelines for microservices deployments

• Deploy and manage containerized applications on Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) using Helm charts and GitOps workflows with Flux CD

• Collaborate with cloud and delivery teams to influence technical decisions aligned with business goals

• Improve the scalability, reliability, and efficiency of Azure DevOps pipelines

• Ensure secure, reliable, and compliant software deployment and management

• Document application releases, including configurations and content

• Configure, test, and deliver core systems on Azure to meet performance and reliability standards

• Implement configuration as code to support reproducibility and scalability

• Support teammates by adapting working style, practicing active listening, and offering help

• Monitor system performance and proactively troubleshoot Azure environments to minimize downtime

• Stay current with Azure DevOps trends, technologies, and best practices to drive continuous improvement

4\. Requirements:

• 3 to 5\+ years of experience as an Azure and Microsoft-centric DevOps engineer or related role

• Strong technical expertise with Azure cloud platforms, ADO pipelines, Flux CD, Helm, Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, and Ansible

• Proficiency in containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and AKS

• Experience with databases, secrets management, storage services, and cloud automation tools

• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

• Experience with monitoring and logging tools including Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Data Dog, and Application Insights

• Professional and empathetic client interaction skills

• Ability to take full ownership of tasks and manage time responsibly

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to promote continuous improvement within the DevOps practice

• Willingness to travel infrequently (less than 5%)

• Ability to provide personal transportation and work overtime as needed

• Capacity to work prolonged periods at a desk and on a computer
