Job Title:

Manufacturing Operations Manager

Location:

Spring City, PA

Compensation:

$90K - $100K \+ plus bonus

Position Overview:

The Operations Manager is responsible for leading employees, scheduling work activities, ensuring quality workmanship, and training employees on safety guidelines, company policies, and production equipment. This role will work closely with Production Control to coordinate job orders and employee assignments, serving as the central decision maker for the daily execution of all production and manufacturing processes. Experience managing people, processes, and products is required to be successful in this role.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Direct and supervise the work of multiple employees across several departments
  • Follow the production schedule and ensures all work is completed on time
  • Document and track production totals and completes required forms and reports
  • Adjust manpower levels and overtime as needed to meet changing production demands
  • Actively engage in problem solving as issues arise
  • Make critical operational decisions with minimal direction
  • Recommend improvements to production methods and product quality
  • Maintain strong focus on quality and quickly identify and correct defects
  • Ensure a safe work environment by following all safety procedures and regulations
  • Work with the Maintenance department to coordinate equipment repairs
  • Partner with Engineering to execute Lean Manufacturing initiatives
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Quality on new product launches and improvements to existing products
  • Coach supervisors and operators to support a culture of continuous improvement
  • Interview, train, and coaches new employees
  • Evaluate employee performance and conduct annual performance reviews
  • Uphold the highest ethical standards personally and professionally

Education Skills and Experience:

  • High School diploma or GED
  • 7\+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • 2\+ years of supervisory experience in a production environment or 5 years as a team lead with increasing responsibility
  • Ability to coordinate workflows across multiple departments
  • Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration and problem resolution
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals
  • Ability to write routine reports and professional correspondence
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and ERP systems
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing methods and techniques is desired
