Role Description

The Apprentice Carpenter role is a full-time, on-site position located in Honolulu County, HI. This role supports experienced carpenters with tasks such as measuring, cutting, and assembling wood and other building materials for framing, structural components, and finish work. Day-to-day responsibilities include setting up and maintaining job sites, using hand and power tools under supervision, assisting with wood framing and finishing, installation of doors, windows, trim, and cabinetry, and helping ensure projects meet quality and safety standards. The Apprentice Carpenter will also be expected to follow leadership instructions, construction plans, support cleanup and material organization, and learn trade techniques and building codes through on-the-job instruction. This role is suited for individuals seeking to build a career in carpentry and construction.

Qualifications

• Foundational carpentry skills and a strong interest in developing trade expertise in Carpentry and Framing.
• Ability to safely use and maintain Hand Tools such as hammers, measuring tapes, levels, and saws.
• Basic experience or willingness to be trained in Power Tools, including drills, circular saws, and nail guns.
• Attention to detail and care for Finish Carpentry tasks such as trim, molding, and interior woodwork.
• Reliable work ethic, punctuality, and ability to follow directions from supervisors.
• Commitment to job-site safety, including use of personal protective equipment and adherence to safety protocols.
• Physical ability to lift materials of 50 lbs or less, stand for extended periods, and work in various indoor and outdoor conditions.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; prior construction or carpentry experience is a plus but not required.
