We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Supply Chain \& Procurement Specialist to join our team. This role will play a key role in supporting plant operations by managing material flow, procurement activities, inventory control, and logistics. This hands-on role ensures the timely availability of materials to meet production schedules while maintaining accurate inventory and SAP system integrity. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, proactive, and committed to supporting a culture of safety, accuracy, and continuous improvement. This position is at our Stucki Roller Bearing facility. At our shops in Elizabethtown, KY, we provide fast and professional services manufacturing bearings, and reconditioning rail parts.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Attend daily safety and production meetings to stay aligned with plant priorities and ensure material readiness.
- Facilitate all shipping and receiving functions accurately and on time.
- Monitor all material movements within SAP and on the shop floor to ensure proper tracking and reporting.
- Coordinate replenishment of internal and external components to sustain efficient production flow.
- Order raw materials for bearings, MRO supplies, and other assigned categories.
- Prepare and maintain weekly reports highlighting replenishment needs for shop parts and products.
- Monitor inventory usage and assist in determining reorder points based on historical consumption to maintain safe stock levels.
- Identify, research, and resolve inventory discrepancies through root cause analysis and corrective action.
- Prepare monthly cycle count variance reconciliation reports and analyze root causes.
- Perform periodic and annual cycle counts for various product groups and assist with full inventory counts.
- Manage and record scrap, production, and break orders as required.
- Take proactive action to resolve material or supply issues that could impact production, notifying the Shift Supervisor of potential disruptions.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance material flow, reduce waste, and increase efficiency.
- Perform other work-related duties as assigned.
Skills/Experience Requirements:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
- 3\+ years of experience in supply chain, procurement, or inventory management—preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency with SAP is required.
- Strong understanding of inventory control, procurement processes, and logistics coordination.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
