Your expertise will help shape our security posture, protect sensitive information, and respond swiftly to emerging threats. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional eager to make a significant impact in the cybersecurity landscape.
Duties
- Design, implement, and maintain comprehensive security architectures across diverse IT infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, cloud environments, and data centers.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing aligned with NIST standards to identify and remediate security weaknesses proactively.
- Manage and optimize security tools such as SIEM systems (Security Information and Event Management), IDS (Intrusion Detection Systems), firewalls (Cisco ASA), VPNs, and network monitoring solutions like SolarWinds or PRTG.
- Develop and enforce system security plans, incident response procedures, and disaster recovery strategies to ensure high availability and resilience.
- Oversee identity \& access management protocols using tools like LDAP, GPOs (Group Policy Objects), Cisco ISE, and SSO solutions to control user access securely.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on cloud architecture projects utilizing AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, or PaaS environments; implement cloud infrastructure security best practices.
- Lead threat detection \& response efforts by analyzing log data through tools such as Splunk or New Relic; perform threat intelligence research to stay ahead of cyber adversaries.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 27000 series standards (including ISO 27001) and frameworks like FISMA, FedRAMP, COBIT, RMF (Risk Management Framework), and PCI DSS for secure operations.
Skills
- Extensive knowledge of computer networking concepts including TCP/IP, routing protocols (OSPF, BGP), IPsec VPNs, Ethernet switching, VLANs, DHCP, DNS, and network architecture design.
- Strong experience with network security devices such as Cisco routers/switches, Juniper equipment, Cisco ASA firewalls, and open-source solutions like pfSense.
- Proficiency in operating systems including Windows Server environments, Linux distributions (Ubuntu, CentOS, Debian), macOS, Solaris, and BSD variants; system hardening techniques are essential.
- Expertise in scripting languages such as Python or Bash for automation of security tasks; familiarity with DevOps practices including CI/CD pipelines using tools like Terraform or Ansible.
- Deep understanding of encryption technologies (PKI certificates), SSL/TLS protocols, SSH access management, FIPS compliance standards, and open-source security tools.
- Knowledge of vulnerability management processes—conducting vulnerability research \& assessments—and incident management workflows aligned with ITIL best practices.
- Ability to analyze network traffic using Fiddler or Wireshark; perform system forensics to investigate breaches or anomalies effectively.
- Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (AWS/Azure) including load balancing solutions like VMware vSphere or Citrix; experience with disaster recovery planning is a plus. This role offers an engaging environment where your expertise directly contributes to our organization’s resilience against cyber threats while fostering continuous professional growth in a fast-paced industry.
