Our Client is a fast-growing, high-performance hair care brand built on heritage, ritual, and clean botanical innovation. We are looking for a Marketing Manager who blends analytical precision with creative intuition, someone who understands the beauty consumer, knows how to scale DTC brands, and thrives in performance-driven, fast paced environments. This person will report directly to the VP of Marketing and work closely with the founders.
About the Role:
We're looking for a creative, strategic, and trend-savvy Social Media Manager to lead our social efforts across Instagram and TikTok. You’ll be responsible for building out monthly content calendars, posting daily across platforms, engaging deeply with our community in comments and DMs, and keeping us ahead of trends—all while honing and protecting the Client’s unique brand voice.
This is a full-time role based in Los Angeles, ideal for someone who thrives in a creative environment and has a sharp eye for aesthetics and passion for storytelling in the beauty and haircare world. While the role is for a managerial position, we are looking for someone who would like to grow into a director and take on more responsibility as the needs of the company increase over time. What You’ll Do:
Strategy \& Planning
● Develop and lead our Instagram \+ TikTok strategy with monthly content calendars
● Align social plans with product launches, brand campaigns, and cultural moments
Content Creation \& Execution
● Write compelling, on-brand copy for all posts and social touch points
● Post regularly on IG feed, Stories, Reels, and TikTok
● Collaborate with internal teams on visuals and campaigns
Community Engagement
● Manage DMs and comments across platforms
● Proactively engage with creators, customers, and brands in our space
● Proactively contact influencers to create content that can be used as user generated content (UGC), paid ads, and more
Trends \& Voice
● Stay on top of social trends, algorithm changes, and platform updates
● Develop brand tone for social media through post captions, the comment section on our own feed and others, and in the DM's
● Ensure everything shared feels unmistakably on brand
Reporting
● Track performance and provide actionable insights
● Provide founders with monthly reporting on growth, engagement, content performance and overall key learnings.
What You Bring:
● 3-5 years of experience managing social media for brands
● Deep understanding of Instagram \+ TikTok, and what performs on each
● Strong copywriting skills and an ability to craft a distinct, consistent voice
● A sharp visual eye and love for beauty, haircare, and storytelling
● Experience in the beauty/haircare space is a big plus
● Based in Los Angeles and open to working in-office
● Highly organized, self-motivated, and extremely collaborative
