About Our Opportunity
We are seeking a Director of Enterprise Applications to work in the Philadelphia Corporate office. The Director of Enterprise Applications will be responsible for all overall application and data service strategy within Unique. This position is responsible for maintaining data integrity and security within all supported applications. This position works with Managers throughout the business to architect and implement application strategies to improve business practices or address new business challenges.
Responsibilities
- Managing all day to day IT application support activities utilizing staff of analysts and developers. Ensure cohesion between all utilized applications and data services.
- Responsible for building a coordinated short and long term strategic direction for all applications utilized within Unique.
- Project management duties for all application related activities including upgrades and implementations.
- Maximizing the return on application investments by ensuring technology usage and delivering the best practice solutions.
- Responsible for the expansion of data sharing throughout the business to improve decision making abilities of management.
- Provide direction for application development and configuration activities and ensure best practices for change management and software development lifecycle.
- Manage vendor selection processes.
- Oversee the creation of application user guides, documentation and training courses.
- Attract, retain, and develop a highly skills and talented staff.
- Perform other related duties as required and assigned.
Qualifications
- Comprehensive knowledge of ERP software and its development tools
- Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft development environment including Visual Studio and MS SQL Server
- A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field required. Experience may be substituted for educational requirements.
- Minimum of five (5) years' experience managing employees in one (1) or more Information Technology functions, preferably Application Management or Development Minimum of three (3) years' experience in JD Edwards One World environment required, preferably for distribution related business.
- Database experience
- .NET framework required, experience in Java, PHP, HTML desirable
- PMP/PMI certification preferred
- Any equivalent combination of education, experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
