Overview
An opportunity for an experienced Engineering Manager to lead engineering operations in a manufacturing environment. This role focuses on safety, reliability, continuous improvement, and team development. You will play a key role in optimizing plant performance, improving product quality, and strengthening engineering capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Safety \& Compliance
- Lead EHS (Environment, Health \& Safety) initiatives and ensure full compliance
- Conduct risk assessments and promote a strong safety culture
- Maintenance \& Operations
- Develop and implement maintenance strategies to improve machine reliability and reduce downtime
- Oversee repair, installation, and inspection of equipment and utilities
- Manage spare parts inventory and maintenance budget
- Continuous Improvement
- Apply WCM / TPM methodologies to optimize performance
- Drive operational efficiency and reduce costs
- Support process improvements and resolve technical issues
- Innovation \& Quality
- Identify and implement product/process improvements
- Set machine operating standards to meet quality targets
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on new product development
- Team Leadership
- Lead, coach, and develop the engineering team
- Build technical capabilities through training and development plans
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance working environment
- Project Management
- Manage engineering projects and capital investments
- Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget
- Support long-term planning and equipment upgrades
- Technical Expertise
- Provide guidance in mechanical, electrical, automation, and utilities systems
- Support troubleshooting and continuous technical improvements
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Automation, or related)
- 5-8 years of experience in manufacturing, including at least 2 years in a management role
- Strong experience in maintenance management and process improvement
- Knowledge of WCM or TPM is highly preferred
- Solid technical background in machinery, automation, and facilities
- Proven experience in project management and problem-solving
- Strong communication skills in English
- Proactive, team-oriented, and results-driven mindset
