Senior Business Process Consultant
Location:
Roseville - Onsite 1x per week
Pay:
$64/hr.
Role Overview
The Sr. Business Process Analyst will drive enterprise-wide process improvement, process governance, and organizational change initiatives. This individual will partner with business leaders to analyze current-state operations, identify opportunities for efficiency and quality improvements, develop future-state processes, and support adoption through training and change management. The role serves as a subject matter expert in business process design, continuous improvement, process controls, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead business process improvement initiatives across multiple business units and functional areas.
- Facilitate process discovery workshops to document, analyze, and optimize business processes.
- Develop and maintain process maps, process documentation, and enterprise process repositories.
- Evaluate process performance, controls, risks, and operational metrics to identify improvement opportunities.
- Apply Lean Six Sigma and continuous improvement methodologies, including root cause analysis and corrective action planning.
- Partner with stakeholders to drive process standardization, governance, and organizational adoption of new processes.
- Develop and deliver training materials, including computer-based training (CBT) content, to support change management initiatives.
- Manage continuous improvement requests and recommend solutions that improve efficiency, quality, and business outcomes.
Must-Have Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Mathematics, Management, or a related field.
- 6–10\+ years of experience in business process analysis, process improvement, continuous improvement, or operational excellence.
- Strong experience with process mapping, process modeling, and process documentation.
- Experience evaluating business process controls, risks, and performance metrics.
- Proficiency with Visio, SharePoint, Excel, and Microsoft Office tools.
- Strong analytical, communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience driving cross-functional process improvement projects and influencing teams without direct authority.
Preferred Qualifications
- Utility, energy, electric transmission, ISO/RTO, or regulated industry experience.
- Lean Six Sigma certification (Green Belt, Black Belt, or equivalent).
- Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) certification.
- Experience supporting SDLC, project management, or enterprise transformation initiatives.
- Experience creating and maintaining computer-based training (CBT) content.
- Experience developing organizational process governance frameworks and repositories.
