- The role -

We're looking for a Senior Mobile Engineer to own the Chirp mobile app - the experience that puts relief directly in our customers' hands and brings our connected devices to life. Working closely with the engineering and product teams, you'll evolve the app architecture while shipping the features and experiments that move both our customers and our business forward.

What you'll do:

• Own the Chirp React Native (Expo) app; native iOS and Android where necessary
• Build features end-to-end - architecture, implementation, release, and maintenance
• Integrate with backend services and APIs, partnering with the platform team on contracts and data flow
• Implement and manage feature flags to ship safely, roll out gradually, and experiment with confidence
• Partner with other engineers on device connectivity - bridging mobile to hardware
• Establish and maintain strong testing practices - unit, integration, and end-to-end
• Own the release pipeline across the App Store and Google Play, including versioning, rollout, and monitoring
• Help define mobile engineering standards, review code, and mentor teammates

What you'll bring:

• 7\+ years building and shipping production mobile applications
• Strong proficiency with React Native and Expo, plus hands-on native iOS and/or Android experience
• Deep experience integrating mobile apps with backend systems and third-party SDKs
• A track record with feature flags, paywalls/subscriptions, and managing app releases
• Strong testing instincts across the mobile stack, and a habit of shipping reliably
• A pragmatic approach to tradeoffs, and the communication skills to explain them

Nice to have:

• Experience developing high-performance apps that push the envelope of what a mobile device can do
• Prior experience in a senior or lead engineering role, including mentoring other engineers and influencing technical direction
• Native module development bridging React Native to platform or hardware capabilities
• Familiarity with analytics, messaging, and growth tooling (push, in-app messaging, A/B testing)
• Experience navigating healthcare or other regulated environments - privacy and handling sensitive data responsibly
• An eye for design and a bar for polished, accessible UX

This role reports to the Principal Software Engineer under the Product organization. You'll be a critical piece of a highly talented and focused team creating professional grade products, that are incredibly simple to use and help all of us Feel Good so we can Do More.
