This role sits at the heart of AIsight’s AI/ML team, contributing to both cloud-based model

development and infrastructure and on-device (edge) model optimization to bring AI into real-

world products.

About the Role

As a Data Scientist (Vision \& Multimodal Data), you’ll shape the data foundation that powers AIsight’s AI systems. You’ll collect, clean, and curate datasets captured from our proprietary smart glasses and sensors — ensuring that every model we train reflects the complexity and nuance of real-world conditions.

What You’ll Do

• Collect \& Manage Data:

-Coordinate large-scale data collection from camera and sensor-based hardware.

-Manage ingestion pipelines for video, image, and multimodal (IMU, depth) data.

• Clean \& Annotate:

-Develop automated cleaning and validation pipelines.

-Oversee labeling workflows and ensure data quality across annotation teams.

• Curate \& Analyze Datasets:

-Define dataset structure and coverage; identify data gaps.

-Conduct exploratory analysis and develop metrics for dataset quality.

• Collaborate with ML Teams:

-Partner with engineers to align datasets with training goals.

-Maintain documentation for datasets, governance, and version control.

What We’re Looking For

• M.S. or Ph.D. in Data Science, Computer Vision, or related field.
• 5\+ years of experience in data management and analysis for ML or computer vision.
• Expertise in Python (Pandas, NumPy, PyTorch/TensorFlow data APIs).
• Experience with labeling tools (CVAT, Label Studio) and dataset versioning (DVC).
• Familiarity with cloud-based storage and distributed workflows.
• Excellent communication and organization skills.

Bonus Points For

• Experience with multimodal datasets (vision \+ IMU, depth).
• Knowledge of ML experimentation, active learning, or data-centric AI.
• Background in synthetic or privacy-preserving data generation.
• Experience collaborating in hardware–software R\&D environments.
