As a Professional Engineer, Electrical, you will play a critical role delivering expert investigations and reporting that support both technical resolutions and legal proceedings, while benefiting from the flexibility of remote work.
Responsibilities:
- Complete hands-on failure analysis assignments in the field and testing facility.
- Document investigative facts and finalize reports detailing findings.
- Apply engineering theories and knowledge to real-world electrical failure situations.
- Deliver high-quality assignments on schedule as requested by clients.
- Prepare to testify and support forensic findings when required.
- Consistently uphold ethical engineering and investigative practices.
- Communicate findings clearly in both written and verbal formats.
Must-Have Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Active Licensed Professional Engineer (PE).
- Minimum 10 years of experience in electrical engineering roles.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and detail orientation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical reporting and testimony.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to pass background checks as required.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Prior experience with forensic engineering or failure analysis of electrical systems.
- Background in providing expert witness testimony or legal support.
- Familiarity with ethical standards in investigative engineering practices.
- Self-motivation and ability to manage assignments independently in remote settings.
