Success Matcher Recruitment is working with a premier boutique law firm specializing in high-stakes infrastructure, environmental, and real estate law, and they are looking for a versatile
Legal Administrative Assistant
to join their NY office.
In this role, you will be the operational backbone of a fast-paced office. We are looking for a true generalist who thrives on variety and can seamlessly pivot between complex litigation support, transactional documentation, and high-level office administration. If you are a self-starter who loves owning projects end-to-end without relying on massive corporate departments, this is the perfect home for your skill set.
What You'll Do
- Litigation Support:
Draft, proofread, cite-check, and format motions, discovery shells, pleadings, exhibits, and trial binders.
- Docketing \& Filing:
E-file across federal/district courts (CM/ECF) and specialized regulatory portals (STB, FRA/FTA). Take ownership of docketing court deadlines and case milestones.
- Transactional Support:
Prepare contract shells, manage meticulous redlines and version control, and compile complex closing binders and exhibits.
- Practice \& Office Administration:
Manage conflict-of-interest checks, new matter onboarding, billing configurations, and attorney time entries.
- Office Operations:
Oversee day-to-day office logistics including CLE compliance tracking, travel coordination, expense processing, reception, and facilities management.
What We're Looking For
- Experience:
5\+ years of legal assistant experience specifically within a private law firm environment.
- Versatility:
Proven track record of handling a hybrid mix of litigation, transactional, and administrative duties.
- Autonomy:
A self-sufficient mindset comfortable executing tasks with high accuracy in a boutique environment.
- Technical Savvy:
High proficiency with e-filing systems (CM/ECF).
- Bonus Points:
Active Notary Public commission or direct experience with federal agency portals like the Surface Transportation Board (STB) or FRA/FTA via Regulations.gov.
