Role Summary

The Strategy Realization Office (SRO) Manager is responsible for translating organizational strategy into measurable business outcomes. This role oversees the execution of the strategic portfolio, ensuring initiatives are aligned with overarching objectives while delivering tangible value.

The SRO Manager drives portfolio governance, program oversight, initiative prioritization, benefits realization, and performance tracking, acting as the central coordination point for strategic initiatives across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Portfolio Management

  • Oversee the enterprise-wide portfolio of strategic initiatives
  • Maintain a centralized and accurate view of the initiative pipeline and portfolio
  • Track portfolio performance and deliver executive-level reporting

Strategic Alignment \& Prioritization

  • Ensure all initiatives align with strategic objectives and business priorities
  • Lead prioritization efforts based on impact, complexity, and cost-benefit considerations

Program Delivery Governance

  • Oversee execution of cross-functional strategic programs
  • Monitor program progress, risks, and key dependencies
  • Escalate risks and propose corrective actions where necessary

Value Realization \& KPI Management

  • Develop and track benefits realization frameworks
  • Measure and report on key performance indicators and value delivered

Governance, Process Optimization \& Automation

  • Design and implement governance frameworks for strategy execution
  • Standardize processes within the Strategy Realization Office
  • Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement and automation

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Facilitate strategy workshops and cross-functional alignment sessions
  • Engage senior stakeholders to enable informed and timely decision-making

Minimum Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Economics, Technology, or a related field
  • Preferred: Master’s degree or MBA in Strategy, Management, Operations, or related discipline

Experience

  • 8–12\+ years of experience in strategy execution, transformation, portfolio management, or enterprise PMO environments
  • Proven experience managing large-scale strategic programs and cross-functional initiatives
  • Strong expertise in performance management, governance frameworks, and value realization

Preferred Certifications

Strategy \& Portfolio Management

  • Portfolio Management Professional (PfMP)
  • Program Management Professional (PgMP)
  • Project Management Professional (PMP)

Transformation \& Change

  • Prosci Change Management Certification
  • Certified Strategy Professional (CSP)

Operational Excellence

  • Lean Six Sigma (Black Belt or Green Belt)

Delivery Frameworks

  • PRINCE2 Practitioner
